When your water bottle arrives at your door, you are probably excited to start using it as soon as possible (if you're anything like us). And you should be excited! A reusable water bottle means that you are making a conscious effort to reduce plastic single-use bottle waste, as well as paper coffee cup waste.
Before using your bottle, there are a few tips that you should know about how to care for and clean your bottle.
Cleaning Your Reusable Water Bottle
We recommend cleaning your bottle after every use, especially if you have used your bottle for storing something other than water
To clean your bottle, it is best to wash by hand with warm, soapy water using a natural or mild soap and a bottle brush, and leave your bottle upside down on a rack to air dry.
Some of our bottles are specified in the product description to be dishwasher safe. In this case, you can place your bottle in the dishwasher if you desire. However, we always recommend hand-washing your bottles to keep them in the best shape possible.
If it is not specified in the description that a bottle is dishwasher safe, it is best to always wash the bottle by hand.
Caring for Your Reusable Water Bottle
Our bottles are very easy to care for - simply clean after every use (or once a day if using only with water), and let air dry. Our bottles are made of durable materials, and are made to be taken along on daily adventures as well as for sporting and outdoor activities.
Good to Know:
- Our reusable water bottles should never be placed in the freezer (other than for very brief periods), as the expanding of water molecules during the freezing process can break or disfigure the bottle.
- Our bottles can be placed in the refrigerator if desired
- Some of our stainless steel bottles are equipped with two walls of vacuum insulation. These bottles should never be put in the freezer or the dishwasher under any circumstances, as it could damage the thermal capacity of the bottles.
